Meet the Team Gail Guevara, Bookkeeper/Office Manager Hi, my name is Gail. I am the Office Manager and the Financial Coordinator. Our great team, my understanding husband-Dr. Guevara, and all of our wonderful patients make my job very enjoyable and rewarding. I grew up in New Orleans and graduated from L.S.U. in elementary education. In my spare time, I enjoy playing tennis, exercising and most of all, spending time with my husband, children and two very special grandsons. "Let all that you do be done in love." 1 Cor. 16:14 Karen Herron, Treatment Coordinator Hi, my name is Karen. I have worked for Dr. Guevara since 1992, first as an Appointment Coordinator then as a New Patient Coordinator. I enjoy making new friendships with the patients and my co-workers and seeing all the happy, beautiful smiles when treatment is over. I participate in continuing education pertaining to Treatment/New Patient Coordinator and I am also a certified dental x-ray tech. I am married and recently a grandmother. I enjoy reading, traveling and gardening. "Live life, laugh and be happy." Lacey Young, Appointment Coordinator I’m Lacey and I have been Dr. Guevara’s Appointment Coordinator since 2003. I schedule appointments, answer phones and file insurance claims. I enjoy the constant challenge of my work and I am proud of the quality care that our patients receive at the hands of the doctor and team at our office. I am married with two sons and enjoy reading, traveling and spending time with my family. Linda Mills, Orthodontic Assistant Hello, my name is Linda, and I am an orthodontic assistant. I am also a certified expanded duty dental assistant. I’ve worked with Dr. Guevara since 1994. It is a tremendous blessing to be a part of such a fantastic team. The entire team really wants to make a difference in your life. If you are looking for a skilled, caring orthodontic team, then this is the place to be. I have lived in Slidell most of my life. I graduated from Salmen High School and I have a Business Administration degree from Southeastern Louisiana University. I enjoy shopping, volunteering at my church in the video production department, going camping, but most of all spending time with my family and friends. Laura Thompson, Orthodontic Assistant Hey, I’m Laura and I have really enjoyed working with Dr. Michael Guevara since 2004. I knew I wanted to be an orthodontic assistant when I first came to this office in high school and now I am also certified as an expanded duty dental assistant. The advances in orthodontics that Dr. Guevara applies every year keep work very interesting, and there is nothing better than seeing and hearing the joy from someone who has just seen their new smile for the first time. I was born in Mississippi and have lived in many different places including Japan! Now I live with my family here in Slidell and am very active in my church whether it’s teaching kids, singing or volunteering for other ministry work. I thank God daily for the opportunity to work at such an excellent, caring and professional orthodontic office! Leann Noote, Orthodontic Assistant Hello, my name is Leann and I’m an orthodontic assistant. I grew up in Harvey, Louisiana where I was home schooled along with my two brothers. I attended college at Belhaven in Jackson Mississippi where I earned my BA in Vocal Performance. I now reside in Slidell and am very blessed to have joined the talented and friendly team at Dr. Michael Guevara’s office. I started working with Dr. Guevara in June of 2008. I feel privileged to work for such a top of the line orthodontist not only in knowledge, skill, and talent but also in values. I have really enjoyed getting to experience the transformation of each patient as they progress through their treatment and I love seeing how ecstatic they are when their treatment is complete and their beautiful smile is revealed. When I am not at work, I enjoy singing with the music team at my church and spending time with my family and friends. Amanda Manuel, Orthodontic Assistant Hi! I’m Amanda and I’m the newest orthodontic assistant here at Dr. Michael Guevara’s office. I graduated from Slidell High School in 2006 and in August 2009 I finished the dental assistant program at Delta College. As part of the training I had to complete a six week internship and I immediately knew which office I wanted to choose. As a child, I received treatment from Dr. Guevara and was amazed at the results. Dr. Guevara and the team made such a big impact on my life, I knew I wanted to do the same for other patients. I feel blessed to now be a part of the team and love knowing I can make a difference in people’s lives.
